HOW TO MINIMIZE DATA USAGE ON ANDROID
Yeah everyone is switching from android to blackberry for some reasons... Here in Nigeria the main reason is the DATA USAGE of android phones!!! The Background apps running and choping your Data. So why not change to BlackBerry where you could use 1500 for a month....
But even these switchers knows that ANDROID phones are better than Blackberry... I talked to one of my friend who switched and he told me he bought a blackberry so he could use it to share Hotspot to the Android Phone... But that's sick right? Not everyone has the money to buy a blackberry that shares hotspot..So Dont waste your time doing that when you can enjoy android features(games and apps) and browsing vat the same time..
SO TO MINIMIZE DATA USAGE!!
We get pissed of if we check our remaining balance and see that its reducing more than expected because some sneaky background application is taking it... Here is what to do.
Go to settings- Click Data Usage(some android Data Usage is in the drop down notification- Select the network(if there are two sims)- Then you are going to see the amount of data you used for a certain period of time and the apps taking them.- Click on the ones you dont use frequently- You would see RESTRICT BACKGROUND DATA then Click it--- Repeat that for all apps that you dont use frequently...........
Normally the apps we really use are.. whatsapp, 2go. Opera Mini, And BBM... But ALAS!! Some games takes data so be sure to restrict them also.
TIP- Facebook app is very Good in chopping your data.
